About Us
My Handyworks began in the spring of 2005 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Under inspiration of God and our first born daughter, we began attending craft shows with the handprint idea. Starting out with only a large fish and lion, we quickly discovered that in order to succeed in the business, we had to create new designs. Now with 32 + designs we can make almost anything out of a handprint or footprint.
We were honored to attend Kids Fest at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri over the summers of 2005-2009. Silver Dollar City also invited us back for Christmas Fests 2005, 2006, 2007. The St. Louis Zoo allowed us to sell handprint/footprint paintings September and October of 2005; Spring of 2006. My Handyworks also operated at Purina Farms in the fall of 2006 and also at Six Flags St. Louis for the 2007 season.
Since My Handyworks had no permanent home, we went to your birthday parties, daycares, company functions and local festivals. Greg, the artist, was also a reservist in the US Air Force. We put a halt to advertising when he deployed in 2008 to Iraq. After his return, we went back on the road to attend festivals some local, and some as distant as Colorado, and eastern Tennessee. We really love what we do and love to hear from satisfied customers.
After Heather was downsized from a local hospital and Greg was diagnosed with severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as a result from his deployment, we decided to give artwork our full attention by opening a store front on Main Street St. Charles, MO. God has blessed Greg with the ability lose himself in creating art pieces. We are blessed to have the space to create more of his fine artwork, which was limited before due to space confinements. Our business has grown from the handprint pictures, to molding hands in wax, wooden roses, spray paint art, murals, portraits, art lessons, acrylic paintings and even waxy wall art. Come in and see us for the latest artwork-We'd love to see you!
An article was written in 2011 about Greg's art work being showcased in a DOD federal building in DC. Read the article.
God blessed us with a larger space in June 2012. We moved down the street and doubled the square footage of our art studio.
